French Press

Ingredients

  • 60 grams fresh, whole bean coffee
  • Fresh, filtered water, heated to 205 degrees F

 


Step 1
Preheat press and plunger by pouring hot water and pressing the plunger once or twice to warm the vessel.


Step 2
Grind 60 grams of fresh coffee coarsely (about the consistency of kosher salt) and add to French press.

Step 3
Pour water about half way up press and start timer at 4 minutes

Step 4
After about 1:30 break the top layer of crust, stir, and ad the rest of the water

Step 5
After the 4 minutes has elapsed slowly push the plunger down.

Step 6
Pour and enjoy
