Ingredients

  • 30 grams fresh, whole bean coffee
  • 500 grams fresh, filtered water + additional for rinsing your paper filter heated to 205 degrees F
 

Step 1
Fold filter on seam and place in V60 cone.

Step 2
Place V60 on top of server and rinse the filter with plenty of hot water. Not only does this warm the V60, but it also clears the filter of any papery taste. Discard of water without removing the filter from the cone.

Step 3
Weigh out 30 grams of coffee. Then, using a burr grinder, grind beans to a medium-fine consistency and add to V60 cone

Step 4
Gently shake V60 to even out the grounds, this will allow for a more even extraction, Place V60 and server on top of the scale and tare to ‘0’.

Step 5
Once the water is heated to 205 degrees F, slowly pour just enough to cover the grounds. Wait about 30 to 45 seconds for the coffee to fully saturate (a good visual marker is when the “bloom “ has deflated).

Step 6
Following the bloom, pour slowly and evenly in the center of the cone paying careful attention not to pour directly on the filter. Continue pouring until your digital scale has reached 500 grams.

Step 7
Once the brew has finish passing through the filter remove cone from the server and discard filter along with the grounds.

Step 8
Pour and enjoy!
